1. Not a good idea to announce that you will write two poems - neither gets written. My excuse is that I am marking, and that is a different mode of being.
2. Marking students' creativity is a hard task - I know how much it means to them, and I want to be fair and useful. Some of the pieces are so interesting to read, and others dead as the proverbial - usually because they are nothing more than cliche. I heard Janice Galloway talking about stories on the radio the other day - she said the best ones don't say everything, they have gaps and hint at the transcendental - ie they are full of possibilities.
3. Still haven't decided if I can save the picture of the lake, but I have to wait till the paints dry, in about a week, and that gives me plenty of time to think.

This is my first visit here. I am truly inspired to think about a proper direction for my own. Also, I'm very interested to hear about your painting as well as the writing. Thank you for letting me in!
