Objects, diagonals and Monkey

1. That wonderful radio series - another interesting comment about how the maker of an object projects herself into the world, with generosity. That is why creativity feels so important to the self - it's a way of saying here I am. It's positive and gives confidence.

2. I have another go at that lake painting, add the diagonals, and it comes alive. I use greys and whites to convey the snowy wintery feel I want. Later I will paint blossom on the tree in the foreground.

3. I think about my life in objects - could I find one for each year of my life. 1956 would be the monkey I was given for my christening. I still have him - new face and paws but the same old fur and stiff limbs. I will do some sorting and take his picture. My personal history project.
