Brawne, Brown and snow

1. I go to see Bright Star last night, and I like the way Jane Campion gives a creative life to Fanny Brawne. Her ability to design and sew her own wonderful clothes is presented as equal to Keats's gift, and as in the Fellini film, there is this mysterious link between creativity and love. I wonder if the idea is that creative people love more deeply (because more emotional?) or if it just seems that way because they can express their feelings for others to share?

2. There is also the importance of the friend who understands and supports the writer, in this case, Brown.

3. After the film I walk home through the snow. I noticed in the film credits that they had to use a snow company, and remember seeing a programme about the different materials they use to create snow. Well we have the real thing.
